WHERE DO WE COME FOR CAMP?
Each night will begin in the Family Ministry Building of First Baptist Church at 401 Howard Street West in Live Oak. The Family Ministry Building is the tallest building on campus and is closest to the football field. You need to park and escort your children to the registration area located in the lobby. Helpful signs and many friendly greeters will be there to assist you.

WHAT TIME DO WE ARRIVE?
Aim for 4:45-5:00 p.m. for Night 1, but please do not come any earlier. There is no hurry and no need to arrive too early as we will get your children quickly assigned and ready for camp! PARENTS ARE REQUIRED TO CHECK THEIR CHILDREN IN ON THEIR 1ST NIGHT TO VERIFY THEY HAVE BEEN REGISTERED. We recommend that you bring the print-out from your registration confirmation email the first night your child attends just to make sure there are no mix-ups. If you don’t have it, don’t worry – it could simply help make things go quicker.

HOW DOES SUPPER WORK EACH NIGHT?
Supper will take place between 4:45-5:30pm each night. It is not required but please have your children there on time if they want to eat supper. The kitchen will begin closing at 5:30pm nightly because activities kick off at 5:45pm. There is no extra charge for supper.

HOW WILL THE ACTIVITY TRACKS BE ASSIGNED FOR MY CHILDREN?
When you register your child online, your child ranks their choices. Each activity track has a maximum # of participants. This is why it's important to register early because tracks will be assigned on a 1st come 1st serve basis. Please help your child understand this process so check-in is easier for them. Children will not be able to change tracks after the 1st night, but will get to enjoy their 2 tracks all week and try something different next year. If you do not pre-register online your children will be delayed in choosing activities so please make sure you have pre-registered.

WHAT SHOULD MY CHILDREN BRING TO CAMP?
  1. Please dress in shorts or cool clothes and sneakers. There is no need to bring cleats (for soccer) due to the fact we are playing multiple sports and there is no time to change footwear; just wear normal tennis shoes.  It has been recommended that girls wear compression shorts underneath if they plan to wear lose fitting shorts.
  2. We will have water stations, but we highly recommend your children bring a filled water bottle so that they can have quick access to hydration whenever they may need/want it. If they bring a water bottle, please make sure it is labeled.
  3. We also recommend that you bring the print-out from your registration confirmation email the first night your children attend just to make sure there are no mix-ups. If you don’t have it, don’t worry – it could simply help make things go quicker.
  4. We are asking for parents to contribute $10 per child this year to cover expenses. If you have a problem providing the $10, please contact Ms Debbie right away using the contact info to the right of this screen.
NOTE: There is no need to bring sports balls with you, as we will have plenty at camp. It’s OK to bring, but not necessary. Also, there is no need to bring shin guards or other protective equipment as our skills and drills take into account the limited availability of this equipment. You are welcome to bring it, but it is not required.

HOW LONG IS CAMP EACH DAY?
5:00-8:00 p.m. each day. Please do not plan to pick up your children early unless it's an emergency as this disrupts the coaches and groups during their activities.

HOW DO I PICK UP MY CHILD UP AT THE END OF CAMP?
Camp begins and ends each day with group rallies in the Family Ministry Building. Parents must come in to the Family Ministry Building, where they will find stanchions to form a line for pick up. For your children's safety we will only dismiss them by calling their names as parents come to the door.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILDREN HAVE TO MISS A NIGHT?
Don’t worry. Come when you can. It is very typical that kids sometimes can only attend 2 or 3 nights of camp. We’ll have their information on file and ready if they show up!

Please remember that camp is only for kids who completed Kindergarten - 6th grade during the school year we just finished.  We do not have a provision for older or younger kids. So, no siblings of the campers will be allowed to participate at camp. Families, however, are welcome to stay and watch from the sidelines.

REMINDER:
  • Parents are not required to stay for the camp
  • Parents are required to REGISTER their children
  • Parents are required to come inside to pick up their children each night
