What if a shoebox was just the first step to following Christ?

Every shoebox gift delivered by Operation Christmas Child is a tangible expression of God's amazing love. But a shoebox is just the beginning. It also presents an opportunity in nearly 75 countries for our church partners to invite children into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. This year, we would love to get everyone at FBC Live Oak involved in reaching as many children as possible!

Wonder how you can join in on the OCC mission? Here are the few steps that it takes to participate:
  • Start with an average-size cardboard or plastic shoebox. Empty boxes will be available at the OCC display table in the FMB foyer. If you choose to wrap your shoebox, please cover the box and lid separately.
  • Decide whether you will pack a box for a girl or a boy, and then choose from the following age categories: 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14.
  • Now is the fun part: filling your box! Select a "wow" item such as a soccer ball with pump or a stuffed animal, and then fill with other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies. A list of restirced items can be found by clicking here
  • Include $9 per shoebox to assist with the cost of shipping your shoebox to its destination. If you would like to see what country your box goes to, you can pay the shipping cost online and then print a label for your box - now you can follow it around the world!
  • Most importantly, please pray for the child who will receive your gift, that they will experience the love of God through the power of the simply gift you have sent them.
  • Put your completed shoebox in the bin at the display table in the FMB foyer. The last day to turn in shoeboxes will be Sunday, November 17.
It's that simple! Thank you for your participation with this incredible project! For more info,
