What if a shoebox was just the first step to following Christ?

Every shoebox gift delivered by Operation Christmas Child is a tangible expression of God's amazing love. But a shoebox is just the beginning. It also presents an opportunity in nearly 75 countries for our church partners to invite children into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. This year, we would love to get everyone at FBC Live Oak involved in reaching as many children as possible!

Wonder how you can participate? There are just a few steps to participate in Operation Christmas Child:
  • FIND A SHOEBOX - Start with an average-size cardboard or plastic shoebox. If you want to wrap it, please cover the box and lid separately. There are pre-printed OCC shoeboxes available for you to pick up in the Sanctuary and FMB foyers.
  • GIRL OR BOY? - Decide whether you will pack a box for a girl or a boy, and the age category. You can pack a box for a child ages 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14.
  • FILL WITH GIFTS - Select a "wow" item such as a soccer ball with pump or a stuffed animal, then fill with other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies. For a full list of gift suggestions from Samaritan's Purse, click here. Include $9 per shoebox to assist with shipping costs. If you choose to pay this fee online here, you can follow your box's progress and find out which country it goes to.
  • PRAY - Most importantly, pray for the child who will receive your gift. You can also include a personal note and photo of you or your family.
It's that simple! Thank you for your participation with this incredible project! For more info, you can visit www.samaritanspurse.org/occ, or watch the video below:
